Financial resolutions ruined already
31/01/2006 14:50:00
Financial resolutions made for the New Year are being ditched already, according to research carried out by IFA Promotion.
Some 55 per cent of people made the wise decision to get their money matters in order at the start of 2006 by improving their budgeting.
But before the first month of the new year is even over, more than one in three people have already seen their good intentions come to an end.
David Elms, chief executive of IFA Promotion, commented: "It is very encouraging to see so many people starting the year with resolutions- especially financial.
"However, it can be easy to let these good intentions fall by the wayside."
With people giving up on budgeting, other popular resolutions such as getting out of debt and getting onto the property ladder will, for the foreseeable future, remain nothing but a pipe dream.
