Dishonest Del Boy in debt goes down

A deceitful Del Boy lookalike who scammed a company to try and get himself out of debt has been jailed for eight months.
Stephen Disbrowe, a 30-year-old from Hemel Hempstead who works part time as a Del Boy lookalike, abused his position as a ticket seller for Silverlink Trains, according to Life Style Extra.
He refunded money onto his credit card for made-up season ticket holders, making himself £5,000 in the process as he attempted to deal with his debt problems.
In mitigation Michael Hick said: "The reason for the offences, which he is well aware were stupid, were because of debt he had incurred.
"These were just ordinary types of debt that he had built up over time and he still has £1,200 worth. At the time he thinks they may have been about £20,000."
Judge Timothy Lawrence added: "You took the risk of stealing to reduce your debt and got caught. You failed to deal with your debts before they escalated and failed to look at another way of dealing with the situation."
